HTC Adopts Own Brand Name for New Mobile Phones in Europe

Taiwanese HTC (High Tech Computer) recently announced the debut of two new 3G mobile phones in Europe under the brand name HTC. In the past HTC used the Qtek brand. The handsets under the HTC brand name are expected to be available from late July. However, a concern has been raised by analysts that the HTC brand might result in conflicts of interest with its contract manufacturing business, which includes customers such as Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile and Verizon.
